No missing pages in White House switchboard logs for January 6: report

NOTo Sheets are missing from the six pages of the White House logbooks for January 6, 2021, a review of Executive Branch Office records found.

“There are no missing pages and the seven hour discrepancy is likely due to use of White House landlines, White House cell phones, and personal cell phones that do not go through The standard, [Jamie Gangel] reports,” CNN reporter Zachary Cohen wrote on social media.

The nearly eight hours of missing phone logs came from recordings obtained by the House committee on January 6 from the National Archives. The gap in former President Donald Trump’s phone logs lasted seven hours and 37 minutes on the day of the Capitol Riot.

John Bolton, a national security adviser under Trump, said he recalled Trump repeatedly discussing cellphones as a way to avoid interested parties scrutinizing calls. Trump denied Bolton’s claim on Monday, saying he doesn’t know what a burner phone is and “hasn’t even heard of the term.”
