Iconic Yellow Pages Directory Makes Its Last Appearance

The iconic Yellow Pages business directory will begin making its final appearance today, September 16, as Yellow, the company behind it, seeks to become a fully digital business offering a plethora of online services.

A total of 180,000 copies will be distributed to all households in Malta and Gozo between now and September 26, 2019. This year’s Yellow Pages has an additional value proposition, because with the largest database of Maltese companies, 300 lucky residents could find a ticket and a chance to win a brand new Toyota Aygo. Similar lotteries associated with the book will be held every year for the next five years.

During the distribution process, the delivery staff will also collect old directories from all households. To find out where delivery and collection takes place, residents can go to www.thelastbook.com where a detailed daily schedule has been uploaded.

“The shutdown of production of the Yellow Pages is a major event, which should attract the attention of local media and environmentalists, who will no doubt appreciate this decision. In the latest yearbook we also include a number of hidden surprises fun and annual competitions for the next five years, ”commented Yellow COO Jason Leigh Gafa.

The latest Yellow Pages directory will be one of a kind, made with improved materials that will last and a beautifully designed cover with a local dimension, turning this business directory into a desirable collector’s item. Yellow will also be releasing 500 limited edition copies with a separate cover, making this a truly unique publication. A number of these copies will be available for sale to the general public and the proceeds will be donated to an environmental project.
